This is a blue planet product and label says it is an anitibiotic which may adversely affect the bio filter.
I have a mixed tank with plants and neon and rummynose tetras, reticulate loaches, Platys and a blue ram. The product (which purports to treat white spot, bacterial finrot and columnaris sp) was recommended to me to treat early stages of finrot which seems to be impacting only the neons. one of the rummy’s has some cloudiness on dorsal fin but they won’t sit still enough for me to get a proper look.
Everyone else is fine. Everyone is still eating and active and has good colour. Tank is 4weeks through fish in cycle. I’ve lost only one neon a week in-assume it was eaten while I was away a couple days.
Should I dose tank and risk bio filter or wait it out and just remove any that go belly up? FYI I revisited the shop where I bought the tetras-their current neon stock look worse than mine. Cheers – Jo ps-thankyou for this amazing site-it’s awesome
