In reply to Dad ….. It could be camallanus worms. But I need a lot more information. What did the fish that died look like before dying? What are the symptoms of the fish that got “very sick”?

In reply to Chastidy ….. neons are a known sensitive fish. I would not treat the remining fish or snails.

I treated the water with kanaplex but unfortunately did not make it into gelatin. I have a glow fish and white skirt tetra still okay and a mystery snail. Should I treat them with kanaplex (gelatin)?

Most aquarium bacterial diseases are gram negative infections and are best hit with a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against gram negative bacteria. They include Midland Vet Service Aqua-Mox, VetDepot Amoxicillin, Fishbiotic Ampicillin, Mardel Maracyn 2, SeaChem KanaPlex, API Fin And Body Cure and tetracycline. Metroplex is not a good antibiotic to use. Antibiotics are ONLY effective if put in the food.

All perfect looking until one starts to sit on the bottom before passing. Never two at a time. This article was so helpful I felt like I wouldn’t be able to stop it! I don’t have Kanaplex, wil metroplex work for bacterial diseases? Or something like tetracycline ? Thankyou!

In reply to Diane …. It is the air which is making it float. So the cream needs to be whipped. And Reddiwhip will work just fine. Just use an amount equal to two peas of whipped cream.

Does it need to be whipped into peaks? Or liquid out of the carton? Is it the air that is whipped into the cream making it float? Or the cream?
Could you use Reddiwhip which is already whipped?
